Press Release Body = Buy-to-let investors looking at acquiring an overseas property
could do worse than look across the channel. Property market analysts are widely
singing the praises of France, both as a destination and as a place to buy a
property.

The country has long been popular with Britons and British property buyers. As well
as offering an attractive holiday destination, France is home to a large community
of expatriate Britons, who have relocated there for the better weather and quality
of life.

Budget airlines are also playing their part in bring France to the masses. The
number of locations that can be reached via a budget carrier is growing all the time
and this means that the number of investment hotspots is also increasing.

Studies have shown that the value and rental income of a property near an airport
serviced by a budget airline is notably higher than that of a property that is not
so well served by transport connections.

One such area is Limousin, which is served by Limoges airport. According to a
spokeswoman for Property Frontiers: \"The Limousin region has been making its mark in
recent years, especially now that budget airlines are flying to Limoges.\"

\"This is currently the most popular region with British buyers. Here, buyers with as
little as 88,000 to spend can choose from a good selection of three-bedroom houses
with good-sized gardens.\"

France\'s famed rail network is also contributing to the growth of the county as an
investment hot spot. The TGV is a high speed rail service that holds two world
records - fastest wheeled train and highest average speed for a regular passenger
service.

The operators are constantly expanding the network and last year made new links to
the east which slashed the journey time between Paris and Strasbourg. \"This greater
accessibility will increase property prices in Strasbourg itself and also at other
stops such as Reims and Colmar,\" Property Frontiers are advising investors.

Speaking of Paris, investors may be interested to know that the city was recently
declared the top city in Europe for investment by major accountancy firm
PricewaterhouseCoopers. The company has predicted that Parisian investments will
offer the best returns and lowest risk over the next two years.
